Olger Ivan Aal was born in Williston, North Dakota on 3 January 1922.  He was the son of Ole Aal and Clara O Peterson.  He was working in an aircraft factory in California when he joined the US Army Force.  He failed to return from a mission to bomb an aerodroom near Dienst, and the aircraft with his body was recovered at Melkwezer, near Linter, in Belgium.
