Donald E. Hoeft attended the University of Minnesota and was employed by the General Mills, Inc., before he enlisted in January, 1944. He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Fosse, Belgium. He is remembered at the Sunset Memorial Park, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
