Died at the age of 29.  He was the son of John and Hannah Jowett of 504 Killingly St., Providence, Rhode Island.  He was a native of Illingworth, Yorks, England.  He was a Church Lads Brigade lad, and an officer of the Illingworth Company.  He volunteered for service at the outbreak of war, and was previously twice wounded.
