Arthur Raymond Stacy was the son of George Stacy of Corcoran, California.  He had five brothers ‘Forest, Perry, Alvin, William, and Clyde, three of whom were also in the service.  He also had a sister, Mr. Margie Ware.  He went by the name Raymond rather than Arthur.  Raymond lost his mother when he was a child, and he grew up with Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Lee of Russellville, Arkansas, where he attended school.  He then worked in fruit and cotton production in Arizona and California, and he spent some time living with his brother Bill in Casa Grande, Arizona.  It may have been living with his father when he entered the service in 1943, shortly after his 18th birthday.  During the Battle of the Bulge, he was assigned to the 330th Infantry Regiment of the 83rd Infantry Division.  He was Killed in Action in Belgium on 7 January 1945.  Raymond was 20 years old.
