On 6 July, 2019, my sister and I saw the grave of Charles Nance at the Henri-Chapelle Cemetery. We placed a South Carolina state flag on his grave. Our father, Captain Charles B. Reid, served with the 106th, 423rd regiment , as did Charles Nance. As both men were South Carolinians, we wanted to honor Nance with the flag. Our father survived the war but was a POW in German camps until the end of the war. We salute and honor these men.
