Robert Calderbank was the son of Agnes Calderbank. He had three sisters and two brothers. He was married to Mildred C. Calderbank of 7 Dorset Street in Dorchester, and worked for the Batcheider Snyder Company before the war.  He served with the 707thTank Battalion and died in Luxembourg on 19 December 1944 in the opening stages of the Battle of the Bulge.
