Gilkey A. Hall was born on 28 October 1918 in Morgan, North Carolina.  He was the son of Gilkey and Mary Hall.  He graduated from high school and was employed as a weaver before the war.  He entered the service on He was assigned to the 26th Infantry Division and was Killed in Action in Normandy on 7 June 1944.  He is buried next to his brother Daniel K. Hall.
