Edgar Arthur Greve, Jr. was born on 13 April 1923. He was the son of Edgar and Vie Greve of Kirkwood, Missouri.  He was married to Helen Stubbs.  He attended the University of Missouri from 1939 to 1941.  He joined the service in 1942 and was assigned to the 10thTank Battalion of the 5thArmored Division.  The unit saw action in France, liberated Luxembourg City, and then attacked the Siegfried Line near Wallendorf, Germany in support of the operation to liberate Aachen.  Edgar was Killed in Action on 17 September 1944 in this latter engagement.
