Kenneth L. Kelley was born in Oketo, Kansas in 1923.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kelley.  He had three brothers:  Clyde, Milton, and Gale.  (Clyde and Milton also served during the war.)  Kenneth graduated from the Oketo High School in the class of 1941.  It appears that he joined the Army in April of 1943, and he shipped to Europe in July of 1944.  He celebrated his 21st birthday while en route.  He was Killed in Action in Belgium on 7 January 1945.
