Rowland H. Evans was the Co-Pilot of a B-17 that was nicknamed the Bermondsay Battler (#42-39895.)  He was living in Baltimore, Maryland when he joined the service.  Roland was Killed in Action on 22 Februrary 1944 when his bomber was shot down over Germany.  The Bermondsay Battler’s tail gunner, Lawrence V. Eden, is also buried at the Ardennes American Cemetery
